As I looked at my books today I was reminded of a strange encounter I had recently. I was talking to a person who I know to be a avid Steven King enthusiast and fan of horror movies. I likened a book of Kings to an H.P. Lovecraft story and they had no idea who he was, and could not name a single piece by Edgar Allen Poe other than The Raven. I found it odd. My question now is: Is this a common occurrence? To me to be a fan of horror those two are extremely important to know. I still have Annabelle Lee memorized. I also own what I believe is the complete collection of both of these awesome writers, as well as the original Grimm Fairytales...
