As I retire to sleep so I can awaken at 5 am to make my final order this week, banana breads, I am thankful for the kindness of others. Nearly all but one or two of my customers paid me well over what I charged them. I never expect to a dollar more, in fact so often feel I fallen short, but so many have encouraged me. A beautiful soul who suffered a painful loss just last week paid me over $20 more than my full menu price. She seemed to have peace, in spite of what she went through and the loss she suffered. Its not about the money. Its about the fact that someone reaches out when their soul has been wounded.I hope to see more of her. Im in awe of her spirit. Im amazed sometimes at the kindness of others, especially those who are their best in the most trying of circumstance. Those are the ones who inspire me. Who give me hope. And make me smile.
