As Salaamun Alaikum Sisters and Brothers, The Women in the - TopicsExpress

As Salaamun Alaikum Sisters and Brothers, The Women in the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad were also a part of the Plan of Allah. They were not just there for having children and house cleaning as many learned individuals would have us to believe. Our wives are not “Maids”…they are our “Mates”…they are not our “Property” they are our “Partners”. How many times have the marriages revealed to us how we are to deal with people who call themselves Christians and Jews? The marriages were a sign of teaching us to fear how we deal with them so as not to offend the history and legacy of Prophet Muhammad. I’m sure there were other Muslim women who would have been grateful and happy to marry the Prophet, but Allah had another plan. I have always believed that I was Muslim when I was a Christian but I never got the information until later. Once I received the information, I needed to gather evidence. After I gathered evidence, I needed to perform tests to authenticate it for my own convictions. This took time and it took courage. We cannot expect individuals to leave their faith just because we say: “God is One and Muhammad is His Messenger”. It requires time and we are truly created impatient. The marriages of the Prophet to People of the Book set an example for us to be better at treating Human beings before we begin to take on the role of Shaitan…and pronounce Judgment through arrogance. We will go into this marriage as best as we can because the information is limited…but we will have some video attached. Please join the group: “Women in the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad” to stay in the loop. MARIA al-Qibtiyya Maria al-Qibtiyya (may Allah be pleased with her) is said to have married the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and certainly everyone gave her the same title of respect as the Prophets wives, Umm al Muminin Mother of the Believers. Maria was born in upper Egypt of a Coptic father and Greek mother and moved to the court of the Muqawqis when she was still very young. The Christian ruler, or Muqawqis, of Egypt, sent him two Christian slave girls who were sisters as a gift (in response to the Prophets letter inviting him to embrace Islam), along with a fine robe and some medicine the Prophet, accepted one of the slave girls, Maria, into his household; he gave her sister Serene, to a man whom he wished to honor, namely Hassan ibn Thabit; he accepted the robe; and he returned the medicine with the message, My Sunna is my medicine! This occurred in 7 AH, when the Prophet was sixty years old and Maria was twenty years old. https://youtube/watch?v=Fp_brb7CxTE&feature=youtu.be
