As Sankara marches toward new heights, we keep looking for new avenues to meet and exceed our goals. Silicon Valley Gives event on May 6th, 2014 12.00am to 11.59pm is one such avenue - we need Your help for that. To put it simply, if you are a regular donor and are considering donating a big or small amount, please consider doing so on May 6th. In addition, helping spread the word would yield great results. Sankara is participating in a charity giving event hosted by Silicon Valley Community Foundation. By participating, Sankara can benefit by getting: 1) Dollar for Dollar (in some cases two dollars for each dollar donated) matching by mainstream foundations and organizations. The dollar impact can be huge, depending upon how well we do. 2) Great visibility among the main stream media as well as big Foundations. The benefits of that could be long lasting for our cause. What you can do to help: (1) Spread the word among your network and within your Companies. Join the event Facebook page: (2) Donate and encourage others to donate (a big or small amount) on May 6th during the Power hours listed below. Remember the matching is first come first serve bases, so during the power hour of say 6pm, its best to donate right at 6pm to avail of matching. You can also pre-schedule the donation by giving all the information to the Sankara office before hand, so that you dont need to remember the power hours and the office will take care of the donations.
