As a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach I have two primary objectives 1. To improve sport performance, this encapsulates all aspect of physical development such as Strength, Muscular Endurance, Speed, Power, Aerobic /Anaerobic Endurance, Anthropometry Improvements and Durability. Designing and implementing detailed yearly Periodization training programs for both teams and individual athletes, providing expert tuition and motivation through all specific processes while measuring competitive and training performance by utilizing best practice sport science methods and systems. 2. To reduce the possibility of athletic injuries. Professional athletes are paid to play not spend time in rehab. Understanding the difference between training for the sake of training and training to improve performance is key, producing efficient durable athletes that can compete at the highest level on a consistent basis. Implementing athlete well-being systems during specific training periods to track athletic loading helping to avoid over reaching and over training syndrome. The ability to implement these objectives relies on a high level of expertise, knowledge and experience but to be truly successful any system needs to be built on a strong foundation of mutual trust and respect between coach and athlete.Like any good relationship they have to be worked at and must be a two way process.
