As a parent of a special needs daughter which I nor her mother consider special needs please bring your children out in public let them explore the world and have people get to know them. My daughter has been on the run meaning she has been out and about interacting with society since the first week she has been home with us. Now she was just featured in a National Campaign for Down Syndrome and Children with special needs. She also is going to be featured in a major campaign for a local childrens hospital. Please parents get your children out there. There are SO many opportunities for them. Please do not take this post as a father telling you how to raise your child I am just saddened not to see these amazing children more and more in the public spot eye. You will be amazed what is in store for them no matter what their disability is.
