Vaccines reduce the risk of infection by working with the bodys natural defenses to help it safely develop immunity to disease. Vaccine-preventable diseases can be very serious, may require hospitalization, or even be deadly - especially in infants and young children. Your childs doctor can guide you in determining what vaccines your child needs and when she needs them.
