As a true Biblical sinner draws near to the presence of Christ, he - TopicsExpress

As a true Biblical sinner draws near to the presence of Christ, he comes with full conviction that he is unworthy of the privilege of his access to His presence. He comes knowing that he is nothing before God, that he has no merits, no ground to stand on within himself, and other than the fact that God decided to be merciful to him, he has no other rights to stand before a holy God. He understands that he is totally useless to save or change his own life and that without the intervention of Gods undeserved power he is doomed to eternal separation from God. This knowledge is the missing link of humility that has moved God to resist countless Christians in their pride and has compelled Him to see them from afar. James 4:6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, "God is opposed to the proud , but gives grace to the humble ." Psalms 138:6 For though the L ord is exalted, Yet He regards the lowly, But the haughty He knows from afar.
