As we approach Thanksgiving, we would like to introduce you to someone we are thankful for, and her name is HOPE! Hope was rescued by a good Samaritan after being struck by a car near a busy highway. This good Samaritan took it upon herself to take her to the nearest emergency vet knowing her injuries were extensive. We were contacted shortly after her arrival to the vet hospital and asked if we could help in any way. We knew this little girl needed our assistance. After a thorough evaluation, it was determined that Hope had a broken pelvis, broken vertebrae, broken jaw & skull fractures. She may be physically broken, but it was seen really quick that her spirit was not! Hope underwent a 6 hour surgery yesterday to repair her pelvis and back. We went to visit her today and she seems to be recovering well. She was alert and enjoyed us talking to her and petting her. She has a long road ahead of her, and we are committed to her recovery. At less than a year old, this girl deserves a second chance at life. We are unsure what her future holds when it comes to her mobility, but one thing is for sure, we and the vet team that is caring for her have HOPE that she will pull through this obstacle in her young life.
