Asking for support!: Dear Band Family, Please see the below letter from Noah Tolson to his teachers. Not just a thank you for the time it will take to read or throw this away, but also a thank you for all the work you put into teaching me. I know that, at times, I am a frustrating student. However, I’m lucky to have had teachers like you that didn’t give up and that I now feel comfortable to ask the support of. Anyone who knows me will tell you just how central music is to my identity. Anyone who knows me will also tell you how much sweat, care, and time I have invested in music both on and off the marching field since I began high-school (even to my own personal and academic detriment, at times). I have been fortunate for the countless opportunities I have had and I am inexpressibly thankful for all of the support I have received in taking these musical opportunities. However, now there is a big one: For the summer of 2015, I have been offered a contract to march with the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps. For those of you who know about the activity, I am all but begging your support in my endeavors. This is by no means a cheap activity, but the payoff for such an enriching summer is priceless.
