At lunch time we have light to moderate #snow falling across much of the Texas Panhandle and northern half of the South Plains. Roads are snow-covered across most of the Panhandle and traffic is running slow on Interstates 27 and 40. Widespread snow accumulations of 1-2 has been reported and well probably see a little more snow. Snow continues to move into Northwest Texas and light snow should begin falling in Wichita Falls within the hour. Dont be surprised if roads become slick after snow begins to fall. North Texas: The latest data continues to suggest some light snow is possible in North Texas later today and this evening. At this time we expect only a dusting to perhaps locally half an inch of snow as dry air filters in and results in most folks only seeing flurries. At this time we do not anticipate travel issues in the D/FW Metroplex but we could see some icy bridges north/northwest of D/FW closer to the Red River tonight.
