At the conclusion of the September 6th open wheel modified event - TopicsExpress

At the conclusion of the September 6th open wheel modified event at Friendship Speedway, a tire from race winner George Anen was protested by a fellow competitor. Once the protest was submitted, the tire sample was then properly collected, secured, and submitted to an independent laboratory for detailed analysis. After thorough review, it has been sufficiently determined that the sample taken from Anens tire did not meet the benchmark set forth by the tire manufacturer. As a result of these findings, Anen will not be entitled to any points or money earned on the night of September 6th. With this being Anens first offense, no additional penalties will be applied at this time. Chad Paxton has now been declared the official winner of the September 6th open wheel modified event and the rest of the finishing order will be moved up accordingly. On behalf of the speedway, we appreciate everyones patience, professionalism, and diligence with this matter. We will begin working on recalculating the points and monies in regards to the new finishing order as a result of these findings and penalties. Jason Atkins Friendship Speedway General Manager
