Australia Day is not about celebrating 1788 or 1901, that is Australias past....that is history...Australia Day is about celebrating Australia as it is now, the culture, diversity, music, sport and freedom. Sure it is important to remember where we came from and not sweep the past under the carpet but lets move on and stop dwelling on the discrimination and poor treatment of Indigenous Australians and immigrants to Australia and focus on building a better future.
