@Ayo Aluko-Olokun The APC RALLY OF THEATRICS AT OSOGBO Todays - TopicsExpress

@Ayo Aluko-Olokun The APC RALLY OF THEATRICS AT OSOGBO Todays grand finale of the APC rally in Osun State was full of theatrics laced with rituals and curses. As early as 8.00am, luxurious buses loaded with rented crowds from Lagos and other neighboring States started arriving Osogbo to augment the advance teams which arrived from Thursday last week. Before the arrival of the embattled Governor Aregbesola and his entourage, some Nollywood stars were invited to the stage to entertain the crowd. Also invited was a Sango Priest who invoked curses on all those that would not vote for Ogbeni on Saturday. Later, a basket packed full of pigeons was brought to the stage for the birds to be released. But those in the metaphysical world said the two events have ritual significances. Governor Aregbesola was at his comedian best. He captivated his audience with self adulation that he has discovered the rigging formula of the PDP and went on to lecture his crowd on how to fold the ballot paper and write its serial number and even use the phone to take photograph of it. He seems to believe that Ekiti election was really rigged which is like living in the fools paradise. All the Speakers spoke well but the most pitiable of them was former Governor Oyinlola, in whose presence his work for seven and a half years as Osun Governor was rubbished. When he rose to speak, he said many negative things about his Party up to yesterday. He revealed to the crowd his annoyance with President Jonathan and why he does not want Senator Omisore as the next Governor. Oyinlola wrote a new narrative about himself and merely behaved like an ingrate by repaying PDPs gesture of gifting him with the governorship position twice, with a public ingratitude. His attitude is like someone biting the fingers that fed him. He has unfortunately, ended a hitherto enviable political career by jumping ship to co-habit with people that hated him and wanted to ruin him politically. He even went ahead to admit that Osun people voted for Aregbesola against him. What a shame! A big shame indeed!!!
