BATAVIA Police searching for vehicle involved in a stabbing on Ellicott street Batavia Police are searching for a maroon mini- van or SUV that fled the scene of a stabbing at 610 Ellicott street this afternoon about 2:00 p.m. Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call from a front apartment tenant looking for help with a man yelling and covered in blood on the front lawn of the residence. When Mercy medics and police arrived on scene they found a male in his thirties with a stab wound on the lower part of his body. The victim was transported to Strong Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to Police, the victim was stabbed in the rear apartment and ran outside looking for help. The victim was not a resident of the apartment. The female tenant of that apartment was questioned by police. Police believe there were two people in the van or SUV. One male and one female. Police believe the suspect(s) and the victim know each other. The weapon has not been recovered. Police continue to investigate and search for the suspect(s).
