BEFORE HER DEATH, MAKOU TADJOU LUCIENE LIVED IN FEAR OF ASSASSINATION 29/01/2014 The autopsy conducted in the Bamenda regional hospital on the copse of Makou Tadjou Luciene, assassinated by her alleged boyfriend on January 20th 2014 near the ENS Bambili campus revealed the victim was four months pregnant. Makou Tadjou Luciene was pregnant with a baby boy. The prosecutor of the Mezam High court confirmed that the victim who was a third year student of ENS Bambili informed security authorities that she was threatened by an individual. A complaint against the unknown has been registered at the Touba police station on January 15th 2014. The commissioner of police advised her to table a similar complaint at the gendarmerie. Yidjou Kuitche Laurent, the alleged boyfriend, could not bear the fact that another man based in Yaounde was responsible for the pregnancy of his girlfriend. When tension mounted, the victim’s family opted to reimburse 1,5 million which is equivalent to all expenditures on the girl. The 27 year old commercial moto bike rider, Yidjou Kuitche Laurent accepted the offer and later turned it down.
