BENDIGO- Electrical Fitter 6266W An opportunity has arisen for the position of an Electrical Fitter with a leading manufacturer specialising in plant and equipment for the mining, rail transport and agricultural industry. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Electrical Fitter will be responsible for taking an active role in all aspects of mechanical & electrical repairs. In addition to day to day hands on responsibilities, there is the challenge to identify, develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, utilisation of equipment and reduce costs. Required attributes: Minimum of 7 years trade experience Complete all electrical and mechanical work both repair and maintenance to the highest quality. Assemble, wire and test all types of automotive and electrically controlled equipment, have an understanding of PLC’s and proportional control electronics. Strong fault diagnostic skills Experience in all aspects of maintenance, overhauls and refurbishment of electric motors with hydraulic electrical interface exposure Adept to quote on work presented and maintain the costing in accordance with the company guidelines. Ability to source and requisition parts and components through the appropriate parts manuals and ordering procedures and all unused parts are returned for credit in a prompt timely manner. Capability to undertake major site based equipment assembly projects which will involve overnight travel. Ensure that reports and relevant documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Provide technical advice to other team members as required Have sound written and verbal communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with customers and management alike.
