Sherry Gordy Receives Proclamation From Mayor Goodman January 22 For Her ‘Take The Stage’ Show At Fiesta Rancho For Immediate Release SHERRY GORDY RECEIVES PROCLAMATION FROM MAYOR GOODMAN NEXT THURSDAY NIGHT JANUARY 22, 2015 FOR HER ‘TAKE THE STAGE’ at Club Tequila Showroom inside FIESTA RANCHO HOTEL & CASINO Daughter of Motown Records Founder Berry Gordy Promotes A Talent Showcase LAS VEGAS – Jan. 15, 2015 – Sherry Gordy, daughter of the legendary music Motown mogul Berry Gordy, will receive a Las Vegas proclamation from Mayor Carolyn Goodman on Jan. 22, 2015, during her TV variety show “Take The Stage” at the Fiesta Rancho hotel-casino. Currently in her second year, Gordy has set up shop at the Fiesta Rancho featuring an open mic forum every Thursday Night in the Club Tequila Showroom where she is committed to continue presenting the legendary Motown music inspired by Motown through talented entertainers in Las Vegas. Her weekly shows enlist a combination of established nationally known artists, singers, poets, comics, musicians and veteran performers. Now award-winning TV producer and entertainer Tony Sacca is the producer of Gordy’s show, which is being filmed for release. Recently Sacca invited Gordy on his TV show “Las Vegas Rocks Variety Show” as a guest promoting her talent showcase. From that encounter Sacca produced a special edition of his “Las Vegas Rocks Variety Show” at Fiesta Rancho featuring Gordy’s show with him guest hosting. The show aired nationally on the Soul of The South Network and spawned a new entertainment variety show with Gordy hosting and co-producing with Sacca. The Motown-inspired talent showcase program is called Sherry Gordy presents “Take The Stage.” Gordy is a philanthropist, self-made entrepreneur and mother, born on May 23 in Detroit, Michigan. The first show being filmed on Jan. 22 will include a stellar lineup of some of Gordys favorites including the legendary William Mickey Stevenson, who worked with Berry Gordy during the Motown heyday. Stevenson wrote some of Motown’s greatest hits such as “Dancing In The Streets,” “It Takes Two, Baby,” and more. Also on the show will be The Godfather of Vocal Groups Marshall Thompson of the Chi-Lites, N’ Demand, 2 Of A Kind, Terry Forsythe, Gwendolyn Moore Forsythe, Kristy Love Brooks, Lamar Lewarren and more. The Show will be taped for television at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. There’s a $5 cover charge and attendees must be 21 or older. Following the TV show taping, live entertainment will run until midnight with Bobby Rose hosting...
