BIU GROUP CARPET KINSMANS ATTACT ON BORNO GOVERNOR Recent media attacks against Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State by the group, Borno Concerned Citizens, has been described as ‘political hatchet job’ that deserves no response from the governor. A group, Borno Concerned Citizens, led by one Tukur Mishelia, had in a series of publications, criticised Governor Kashim Shettima over what it termed the governor’s insensitivity to insurgency in Borno State. Condemning the criticism as a pure display of ‘dirty politics’ at work, Biu League of Professionals through its national coordinator, Engr. Bitrus Mshelia Dogo, emplored Governor Shettima not to reduce his office to exchange words with Mishelia, as Borno citizens as well as all Nigerians know the efforts, sacrifices and concerted efforts of the governor to bring peace to the state. They added that despite the insurgency in the state, the governor’s developmental strides remained unprecedented, just as his resolve to bring back peace in Borno has never being in doubt or compromised. Dogo, who said replying his kinsman,Tukur Mshelia, would amount to “packaging faeces in a beautiful travelling bag”, said it was regrettable that while sacrifices were being made to bring peace and unity to the troubled state, folks like Mshelia had made themselves available to be used for hidden political onslaughts for personal gains. “Our kinsman, Tukur Mishelia, claiming to be leader of Concerned Borno Citizens had signed two advertorials recently, raining insults and accusations against our God-given Governor Kashim Shettima. First, we distance ourselves from the actions of our cursed son. The Tukur we all know is so broke that he cannot afford sponsor an advertisement that costs much on a national daily. It is clear that Tukur is fighting somebody’s war that we can all guess who the person is. “For a long time Tukur Mishelia had no job, he tried everything to get rich quick and everything failed him. We know him very well. He is a desperate young man who wants to become Dangote overnight”.
