BLESSED OBEDIENCE: Return to the Lord your God and obey His voice..according to all that I command you today..you and your children..with all your heart and all your soul..that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity..and have compassion on you..(Deuteronomy 30:2-3 ) We live in a world filled with temptations..distractions..and countless oppurtunities to disobey God. But as men who seek to be Godly role models for our families..we must turn our thoughts and our hearts from the evils of this world. We must turn instead to god. Talking about God is easy..living by His laws is considerably harder. But unless we are willing to live obediently..all our righteous words will ring hollow. How can we best proclaim our love for the Lord? By obeying him. We must seek Gods counsel and trust the counsel He gives. And..when we invite God into our hearts and live according to His commandments..we are blessed today..and tomorrow..and forever. Dear Lord..when I am tempted to disobey Your commandments..correct my errors and guide my path. Make me a faithful steward of my talents..my oppurtunities..and my possesions so that Your Kingdom may be glorified..now and forever..Amen.
