BNP should not be under any illusion that Al will give a mid term election. Without Hefazat and Jamat BNP will be a scrawny opposition. BNP should know Sheikh Hasisns arch enemy is BNP not Jamat- she has killed Quader Mullah for aligning with BNP against AL. Sheikh Hasina abducted Elias Ali, killed so many BNP leaders and has a plan to damage and demonize Khaleda Zia and Zia family in order to destroy BNP politically once and for all. It is my opinion -If Jamat BNP alliance break for any reason- main beneficiary will be the AL and second beneficiary will be J.I. BNP will be the looser. I hope I am wrong but I am afraid that BNP is confused and rudderless- its young leader failed to identify foe and friend. my advice to BNP - EU and USA including UK influenced by India - India was not a friend of Shohid President Ziaur Rahman - It is not a friend of BNP - and will not be closer to anyone while Sheikh family is active in BD. We have seen pro and anti Indian political polarisation in 1972-1975 - AL lead by Sheikh Mujubur Rahman (pro Indian) and JSD lead by Major Jalil and A S M Abdur Rab was anti Indian. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with Indias backing did run stream ruler against the oppositions and killed 30000 Jatio Shomajtantrik party activists. This two spirits in BD politics are still alive today and in certain extend are deepening due to the Indias border killings, Barbed wire fence and interferences with internal political affairs of BD. Today BNP (willingly or unwillingly) is representing that spirit -it will be self destructive for BNP to think otherwise. In 1972 -1975 period JSD was the main opposition party, today they are paper tiger because spirit is not there. We hope and pray BNP will not lose its founding father spirit .
