BREAKING (good) NEWS! The Senate Commerce Committee just passed bipartisan legislation I introduced with Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri to reauthorize Brand USA, a successful public-private partnership that promotes international travel to the U.S. Tourism is a big deal in our state, and in 2013 Brand USA generated an estimated 1.1 million additional international visitors to the U.S. who spent $3.4 billion. By adding more private sector jobs and revenue, this bill is expected to reduce the deficit by $231 million over 10 years. Now its time for the full Senate to pass it!
