BRUTAL ATTACK ON JUSTICE Since the occurrence of brutal attack - TopicsExpress

BRUTAL ATTACK ON JUSTICE Since the occurrence of brutal attack on a Judge and the Lawyers in Islamabad District Courts yesterday I have been trying to find out the valid reason of it when the Martyred Judge was trying to administer justice and Martyred Lawyers were busy in assisting to the courts for reaching to justice and they were not carrying any arm against the terrorist groups. This is a first incident in Pakistan when a Judge has been martyred in an open court while administering justice. According to the media reports the culprits targeted the Lawyers only, finding them even in their chambers too. This incident will have far reaching and multiple direction effects. On one side it will shake the confidence of the people involved in the administration of justice and on the other side the same will create disappointment among the common people who always come to the courts treating it as last resort for justice for them. It will also shake the confidence of people who always feel secured and safe while entering into the premises of courts and now they will feel that if the Judges and Lawyers themselves are not safe, how they can ensure security of others. Hence there is an immediate and dire need of arrest of the culprits involved in order to restore the confidence of people and discourage to the culprits who may hit courts and lawyers. If the culprits will manage to escape from the punishment, there is a strong likelihood that other similar culprits will also make it habit to attack to the courts and lawyers if the decision will be against them. The Government should immediately ensure fool proof security measures for the whole of Pakistan especially in the premises of all courts because the same are sacred places where people from all walks of life come for redressal of their grievances. Please join hands to pray for the eternal peace for the souls of martyrs of the incident and patience for the bereaved families. The Government should also ensure regular financial support for the bereaved families. Moreover our Bar Councils should also create some type of pension fund/plan for the lawyers and their families at the earliest.
