BYC BATTLES KOTOKO ON SUNDAY Story by Pawala Janyan (Liberiansoccer Reporter) Email: pawalajanyan.fcfassell@gmail MONROVIA - Liberia’s 2013 Double Champions, Barrack Young Controllers (alias BYC Football) will this Sunday, February 16, 2014 host their Ghanaian counterpart, Asante Kotokoto in the 2nd leg of the 2014 CAF Clubs Champions League match at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Central Monrovia. At the 10,000-seater ATS, the “Go Blues Boys will need a 1-0 at least to eliminate Kotoko and move to the next stage of the competition, which will supersede their 2-1 lost to the Porcupine Warriors in the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on last Sunday, February 9, 2014. Kotokos defender Kwabena Adusei scored twice from spot kick while Isaac Pupo scored the lone goal for BYC. Speaking to journalists at the BYC Media Launch, the President of BYC Football remained optismistic about advancing to the group stage and commended the Liberia Football Association (LFA) and football stakeholders for their immense supports in cash and kind to the BYC family ahead of the match on Sunday. Also at the media launch, the Secretary-General of the LFA also pledge on behalf of the football house to support the BYC family technically and urged all Liberians to cheer the BYC Football Club to victory come Sunday. Meanwhile, a high-power Kotoko delegation arrived in Liberia on Friday afternoon, February 14 and is currently lounging at the luxurious Golden Gate Hotel in Paynesville City. The match officials (referees) are from Mauritania. Mohammed Hamada has been appointed as the centre referee and will be assisted on the lines by compatriots, El Hacen Ould Salem and Oumar Niang. Abderahman Kelly (also from Mauritania) will act as the reserve referee while Adriouma Kone from Ivory Coast will be the match commissioner for the clash.
