Back in April, SU Postgraduate Officer Lucy Gill blogged about the news that Warwick had secured £300k of funding for Masters scholarships and, even better, that this money was going to be matched by £300k of their own funds (see warwicksu/blogs/blog/lucygill/2014/04/24/The-Warwick-Masters-Scholarship-Scheme-Good-news/ for a recap). We worked really hard with the University to ensure that this cash would go to those students who needed it most - those from low-income backgrounds, who were in care or who have children or other dependants. In fantastic news, its just been announced that the University has added an extra £400k of funding to the total pot. This means that 77 people, who most likely wouldnt otherwise have been able to afford postgraduate study, will be able to complete a Masters at Warwick next year. Congratulations to all those who were successful in their applications!
