Bad carb ??? 1. I bought this carb used , cleaned it replaced a few missing pieces and all the gaskets. 2. I have a complete sj and mj kit for this carb so all the jets I would need are pretty much covered. It will not hold the a/f mixture. I can run it for a few minutes then it will start to hesitate and eventually bog. I thought it was fuel but I have adjusted the fuel level to where fuel comes up through the fuel line under the carb blue hose. During warm up it runs fine albeit rich so i slowly do my 2 turns out, the idle will begin to fluctuate at 1.25 turns out, so I have to adjust the idle to compensate otherwise it will die out. eventually Ill get to blip with out a bog then Ill test ride, after15-20mins it will feel sluggish and slowly start to bog. blip the throttle and it will die. Slowly roll it and it will stutter to a slow crawl but you cant gas it or it will die. At this point I have to turn in the a/f screw again and shell fire up like a champ but you have to redo the settings again. Ive checked for air leaks around the coupler and its all good. To be honest Im thinking its just a bad a/f screw relatively cheap part. Ill probably buy a spare one but for now Im going to replace this with a new pe20 this friday. Throw out some of your thoughts if you have experience with other carbs beside stock GET carb.
