Bad news: Lake just had a brief melt down. Good news: Lake just got her IV removed. No more log-like limb, now she can use both hands!!!! Plus she is over her melt down - woohoo! She had a busy day in the playroom, had a wagon ride to get an echo of her heart and had another playroom excursion. Everyone is still pleased with her results and she is only on Tylenol for pain. They are slowly weaning her off of oxygen. She has such a great demeanor and was standing up on her own in the playroom. She also wanted to ride a trike, so I helped her. Her energy and spirit has been great, even with a few melt down moments. Lake must be exhausted. She is communicating more and is showing us that a complicated heart surgery wont get her down. Go Lake, GO!!!!
