“Be Still and Know that I am God” Failure is not an event but - TopicsExpress

“Be Still and Know that I am God” Failure is not an event but a state of the mind, several times we have suffered needless depression by our own misinterpretation of what we label as life’s disappointments. Many times we quote the biblical passage – Ask and you shall receive but still yet we find ourselves in the quagmire of unanswered prayers or should I say what we understand by unanswered prayers. Having an effective communication with God is determined by our knowledge of His answering system. As applicable to our everyday life, you cannot communicate with someone you do not have his contact details or understand his language and method of response. Imagine if God operates like the magical genie that grants every single wish do you think we would still have a world to live in by now? Armed robbers do offer some form of prayers mind you. Now to those that understand the principle of praying amiss but nevertheless your prayers still remained unanswered. The problem with most modern day believers is that their lives is so programmed that it is difficult for God to fit them into His plans, we have gotten all our career paths, ambitions, dreams, education, investments, bills, insurance, loans figured out that rather than fitting into God divine scheme we want God to snuggle into our parochial plans. Remember the deliverance of the children of Israel from the great armies of Egypt; even though God initiated their escape plan but they were so hysterical that God plans seems to them like a bungled job of an amateur. Life can be so muddled up at times that you fail to see the bigger picture, the fear of the consequences of failure made the Israelites so disorganized until God through Moses told them to “STAND STILL!” and their deliverance came (Exodus 14). A goal without a plan is a mere wish but as believers when we commit our plans to God lets be flexible in spirit to the dynamics of His divine directions, God synchronizes His activities to glorify His name therefore His actions have timetables to allow multiple events follow an aligned course. (Habakkuk 2:3). I say with all confidence and all conviction that when you trust in God to establish your life’s plans IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO FAIL!!! This is what Jesus wants us to know so that we can do exploits like Him. Psalm 46:1-11 Shalom.
