Because of you, Ive tossed and turned when I should be sound asleep. In spite of you, Ive never stopped dreaming. Because of you, my world was cloaked in darkness, forgotten by the daylight. In spite of you, I will forever stoke the embers of hope. Because of you, Ive cried tears of confusion, drowned oh too often in my own sorrows. In spite of you, I chase the brighter days and laugh with gusto. Because of you, I tip-toed around eggshells, full of second guesses. In spite of you, I live freely. Wild as the wind, for life is too short. Because of all of you; Ive hurt, been kicked when I was down, hesitated when I should have jumped in heart first, feared what was irrational, and missed out because of that fear. In spite of every last one of you; I seek to heal, nothing can ever knock me down that will keep me down, and I am not afraid. And in spite of it all, I love hard. I believe compassion eases the pain of a healing wound, that second chances arent for everybody but forgiveness is. Because of unconditional love, I forgive every last one of you.
