Been a little irritated lately with a few things on my mind- when - TopicsExpress

Been a little irritated lately with a few things on my mind- when a person decides what profession to go into, they typically go to college a major in that area or related field, right? I mean you dont go to nursing school to become an elementary school teacher and you dont go to law school to be a dietitian! Then there are the fields of practice that go together like business and management, teachers can teach related subjects, psychology degrees and social work degrees- these all work together but its really hard for a profession to keep its integrity and title protection when pre- k teachers are hired to teach high school, nurses are hired to work on cars and people with education degrees and criminal justice degrees call themselves social workers. Social work is a specialized profession that requires years of study in the field, especially when you are working with families and children it just seems like best practice to have someone who has had that specialized education.
