Been sitting in the house the last few nights playing with the Garmin GDL39 portable ADS-B receiver and I-pad Garmin pilot app. System is pretty accurate, watched three UND aircraft (and many others) take off and depart to the south, one flew over the house and the ADS-B traffic screen was right on when I ran outside and watched it fly over! I was tracking aircraft up to 50 miles away. The Garmin weather also worked off the station 20 miles away. It will be real interesting once the GDL88 WAAS system is installed in the aircraft. Still waiting on UND to tell us where to take the Beech for the install.
