Before I went to work this morning I prayed a heartfelt prayer for God to use me today. I smiled and said Here I am Father, Pleezzze use me! I took the bus to work, and when I got there it was slow, I knew Mike had the day off, so I volunteered to go home and thought Mike and I would go to the mall, and get something to eat. I left work, and as I was taking the bus home God said to me, The homeless look cold and hungry. I called Mike and asked him to meet me with 4 pizzas for the homeless. In the meantime I saw I homeless man in the front of the bus. God whispered, go up there and tell him you are buying pizza and invite him to share it. The bus was moving, my lame excuse was I cant I will fall down if I go all the way up there.I even had to laugh at that. Like God is going to let me fall, as I am doing something he asked me to do. I did go up to the front of the bus, and sat next to him. I invited him to have pizza. His response was I hate pizza, the sauce messes with my stomach. I thought oh wow, now what do I say. I than said well, what do you eat? He responded that he did not have time he had to go to Walmart in Ormond to sell the crosses he makes from palm leaves. He said he was trying to earn enough money to get a ticket on the Greyhound. He knew a place in Jacksonville where he could get shelter, food and showers everyday. God put it in my heart to bless him with that ticket. Of course alot of people heard our conversation on the bus. There were guys there from work release, offered by the prison system. I shared my testimony with him. I prayed with him in front of everyone. I told him his Heavenly Father Loves him. I said to him, start putting God first, pray to him, ask him to help you. He will. I told him I was once homeless. I told him how God restored everything when I began to seek him. I told him about Calvary Christian Center and how they would pick him up at the J store and bring him to our church. His face lit up. He said Calvary? Pastor Raleys church. He said I should have known you were from there. The christians from that church are genuine, not hypocrites at all. I share this experience with you, because God said what you do onto one of the Least of these, you have done unto me. Mike and I were so Blessed to be used by God today! So many people saw Jesus through us, because we were obedient to God. I wonder if that homeless man was about to give up, and commit suicide. Today was a divine appointment. I pray today saved his life and gave him a 2nd chance at a good life, Loving his heavenly Father. I want to let everyone know, God will use you. You just have to be willing. This is what we are called to do. Lead others to Jesus and have compassion for the lost and hurting.
