Before Jesus ordered those demons inside the possessed to come out, he asked the demon, What is your name? He replied, Legion; for we are many. That means 2000 demons operating inside ONE man: that is to show us how possessed some people can be. That is why their victim is both a fornicator, liar, murderer, backbiter, full of malice, jealouse, wicked, pride, coveteous, hater, drunkard, hypocrit; prophet on facebook, fraudstar in real life, selfish, idolater, licentious etc just one man. So many people are like that today. The demons that were cast out of those who declared for Jesus will look for those who do not have Jesus in their lives to possess and torment. For the backslider, his case is even more complex When the unclean spirit has come out of the man, he passes through waterless places seeking rest; and finds none he says, i will return to my HOUSE of which i came. And when he comes and finds it swept and put in order. Then he goes and brings seven (7) other spirits more evil than himself, and enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. Luke 11:21-22 What this means is that when people dont dont think it wise to Let Jesus into their lives for some reasons known to them, when demons (of course stronger than they) come, they overpower everything they trust in, and possess and share their bodies together with other spirits they invited- thats dividing the spoil.
