Being an Entrepreneur is not that easy, care-free career path that many believe it to be; its actually quite the opposite. Especially when you have invested everything in your business - Time, Money, Relationship and above all, your Dreams...!!! And in a place like Bhubaneswar, if you leave your 9-to-6 corporate job to start a career as an entrepreneur; people start taunting you in every possible way they can. Your parents feel ashamed of telling their friends and colleagues about what you are doing. You are treated as an unemployed person and people start advising you to fight PSUs, keep on applying for jobs on naukri or timesjob, attend Job fairs etc. Literally, you dont get any support from your family unless you belong to a Marwadi or Gujarati family. Every time you meet your friends, you would not be having sufficient updates to give them in response to their repeated questions, such as, “So, how is your business going? Did you bag any good projects? Did you get funding??? And as a result of this; you start getting obsessed... You keep on asking to yourself, Am I doing the right thing? Its not only me who has experienced all these things. All my Entrepreneur friends must have experienced this. Yeah, its tough. Yeah, its going to remain tough forever. Yeah, its stressful and frustrating; but at the same time its rewarding... Its flexible and its a chance to make a difference. My father says, Those who are good-for-nothing and jobless; start calling themselves as Entrepreneurs. And when I tell him the success stories of some entrepreneurs, he replies that I am not that kind of person. (Though I never understand what exactly that not that kind of person means). Baba, may be you are insecure which is natural... May be you are saying all these because you are a bit sceptical about my career. But one thing I want to tell you... I CANT SELL MY SOUL TO GET A PAY CHEQUE!!! Its been almost 6 months since I have left my job and a luxury life and started my own business; though I know that for an entrepreneur, the road to success is always under construction. I dont know why I am posting all these today. But yeah, I would definitely like to thank some of my friends who are really helping me in a morale boost-up during this journey. Manisha Panda: You are such a sweetheart. I find you by my side always whenever I need you. We have laughed together, we have cried together and even at times, we have fought with each other. But you never left my side. You are the best friend I could ever have. Thank you JHALLI... :* Satyajit Pradhan: I am so blessed to have you as a partner. I have got enormous support from you all these days and I expect the same in future. Thanks for being there with me in my bad days. You are the most JUGADU person I have ever seen. ;) Soumya Ranjan Das: Dude, you inspired me to start my career as an entrepreneur. Sometimes you behave like a friend and at times you start behaving like a guardian as well. And yeah Piyush MishraJi, perhaps I learned the ABCD of business from you only. Thanks a lot for that. I would also like to thank Er Biplab K Parida, Shraddha Das, Badal Bal, Devashis Das, Swagatika Sahoo, Debidutta Nanda, Sanjay Mohanty Bhai, Shakti Somadutt Rout Bhai, Subhendu Mohapatra, Sushree Swagatika Mishra and Swosti Mishra Maam; who have encouraged me a lot. To MUMMA & BABA: I may be a not-that-kind-of-person. I may be a LOOSER. I may not be as good as my younger brother. But, I will prove that the decision I have taken was right. And, I will make you feel proud of me... One day...!!!
