Believe in yourself. Easier said than done. You can start by figuring out whom you’re trying to please. Everyone has critics, and if you try to please them all, nobody’s going to be happy. Living for your fans could end up having the same effect. Attention is fun, but does it really give you an accurate picture of what you can offer? Your opinion of yourself and your efforts should not be dependant on the changing views of others. Trust your instincts and have faith in your own abilities to not rely on others for your sense of self-worth. What are you good at? If you know the answer without someone else’s input, you can have confidence in what you’re doing. Become the person you want to be, the kind of person you’ll be proud of. That’s the one person whose opinion really matters.
