Beloved: Passion has been described as a strong, compelling emotion toward a person or thing. It is an internally consuming feeling that is too limited by its popular use in the context of romantic desire. It is a neutral emotion that can yield results based on how the person directs its powerful flow. What I mean is that passion can feed your anger or it can nourish your love. This Sunday, I will explore this concept with a sermon titled “Passionately Proclaim”. I will build on the idea that if Christ is the center of our life, then we should passionately proclaim that value into our personhood, family, church, community and world. Another way to look at it is that since we have received such an amazing treasure, we should then enthusiastically broadcast what we have been given.
