Birmingham lets take a stand and save our children because these are kids committing these murders because they dont have any love and support at home. The village is no longer raising the kids the streets are! If you are interested in saving our children and iur streets rally together! We dont need the city officials because they havent stepped up to the plate yet. The police cant do it alone! They cant solve the murders without our help and I dont see anything the city leaders are doing besides doing PR for parties and hype promos for 95.7 Jamz! You know who you are! If you want to make a difference take a stand in your city because this is ridiculous! Who remembers 1997? Where is the 100 days of nonviolence or whatever you called it? I forgot its not election season so let them kill one another! Lets face it, you will never stop crime, but sitting back and allowing it to happen without trying to do something is stupid! Im not a community activists, elected official running for an office, nor am I a Civil Rights Leader. Im an average individual who wants to save our children and our streets. How many others do we have out there like me is my challenge to you. Im tired of seeing prayer vigils for innocent people. Especially those who are leaving behind small children. The first thing we want to yell when something happens is RACISM! Lets do the math, how many of the murders in The Birmingham Metro Area have been race related; unless we consider black on black crime as a racial issue! We all want to focus on Ferguson Missouri, but what we need to do is focus on home and raise our kids like our grandparents raised us. We are so afraid of DHR, DCS, or whatever your area have but when I was growing up Katie Gaiters whipped my butt and would whip anyone elses kids butt if they did wrong. We never had a issue with this. Now the kids are running the house and the parents are afraid to step up until your son or daughter is gun down in the streets; then you want to step up, its too late then theyre gone. But you have your city leaders doing hype videos on Instagram instead of saving the streets SMDH! What are we going to do Birmingham? Please dont blame it on Katrina either because that was eight years ago.
