Blessed is the couple that plans early. They project farinto the future. They know that they have to start working hard and savinghard. They set aside a certain amount for their nest egg and the smarter onesamong them seriously look into different financial instruments that may helpsave and prepare for their kids’ future. As small as our joint income were, the first thing we did as a couple was to arm ourselves with protection. As the main breadwinner, I could not even entertain the thought that should I not be around anymore, my family would be left helpless and hopeless. Today, we are reaping the rewards of living a disciplined life and one that looks far into the future. And we are passing on these lessons to our now grown-up kids as well. Young couples should plan ahead. They should not let financial difficulties take away the romance in their marriage. And when couples live a disciplined life, the romance will always be there.
