Blueberries anyone? Im going to get some more of Yanchep - TopicsExpress

Blueberries anyone? Im going to get some more of Yanchep Springs great plants and am happy to organise a bulk order - they are bred for our conditions, and this year come in a 25l bag (2.5 x a watering can kind of size) for $20, so are a fair bit bigger than the ones I got last year. These plants arent a named variety - theyve come from california where there is a huge amount of low chill breeding, and then been bred further here in Yanchep. These plants are reject plants from the commercial breeding program these guys do - so essentially a waste product - but they are by no means duds - just not firm enough, not big enough, not tough enough at the base for picking etc. They would otherwise be composted! They can be left in the bag or transferred to a pot. Theyre grown in composted pine bark. I like to use eskies from the verge collection as they insulate the roots from the heat in summer. I have a plant from these guys that is having its 4th spring in my garden and I am pretty great at killing plants in pots. The ones I got last year are going nuts - covered in fruit (see pic). If youd like some, please just write your name below and how many youd like and I will organise - expecting delivery in a couple of weeks, lets say the cut off for orders is next friday 12th sept. Pick up from Hamilton Hill
