Boarding a plane early in the morning, and even though the plane will take me to Sweden for brilliant adventures with dearly beloved friends and eventually back to everyone I love in the United States, I am sad because once I board the plane I will no longer live in this amazing country. Beautiful Scotland, you’ve been everything I dreamed you’d be and more. I love your picturesque countryside, your friendly people and your charming kilted gentlemen. I love your stunning lochs and ancient castles and your ceilidhs and bagpipes and unicorns. Most of all, the people I’ve met here are incredible and many of you have become very dear friends, though most of you have already scattered back to your various corners of the planet; youve made life rich and amazing with the gift of your friendship. I might well be the luckiest person in the entire world when it comes to great friends. This song sums up how I feel about leaving, and appropriately, it is about Glasgow. All my love, Scotland.
