Boing 474??? Chinese knock-offs of the famous Boeing 747 from the USA. Well, they have made fake Mig-15s, Mig-21s, then lateley the Su-27 Flanker, Su-30 and its naval version. Then again these were for war, but civilian airliners? Thats to much, back then their relationship with the Soviet Union went bad so instead of making only 200 copies of the Mig-21 under license. They thought nothing could piss off the soviets more than making a couple of thousand copies with out paying royalty. The Cold War didnt really mean west vs Soviet Union, to the Soviets the Chinese were also an enemy since they were preaching a different brand of communism. To ad gas to the fire, the Chinese were successful in selling their many copies to the middle east like Iraq and Egypt, africa and other asian countries. When the Berlin Wall fell down, Russia and China were friends again. With the new found freindship allowed the sale of multi-billion dollar [US] Destroyers, Su-27s and they even bought license to build 200. When the Su-30 came along, and the Chinese were able to secure their first 50. Russia found out their so called friend was trying to illigaly make copies of t he engines for the Su-27. Production for the Chinese Su-27 stopped at 170+, then again they dont care cause now they have over 100+ copies of the said plane known locally as J-11. The same could be said for the two-seater Air Superiority Su-30 [Super] Flanker, original planes are believed to have and order for 200 planes, over 100 were confirmed in service. Military planes are different from civilian planes, good thing about them fake planes is, if it crashes it kills only their military.
