#BoldandBeautiful The Daily Dose by Donna! SECOND CHANCES BROOKE is strolling along the beach, probably praying silently, when she notices a figure walking near the water. Brooke moves slowly at first, her mind rushing with millions of possibilities. Her legs began to pick up speed with anticipation asking herself, could it be Ridge? Please God, let it be him! Her mind not letting her get too ahead of herself... she slows again. As she approaches, she calls out his name, Ridge?! He turns, her mind catches up with her heart. Overwhelmed with joy, she embraces Ridge! He simply greets her with HI! Brooke brings Ridge back to the hotel suite where he greets his father, Eric. Eric is ecstatic to see his son alive asking Ridge what he needs. Just one simple request, To go home! Eric assures him it will be the best dam homecoming there ever was-- still seemingly unaware of the lack of luster in his son.. the confusion in his eyes.. the questions! In their state of glee & gratefulness, neither Eric nor Brooke seem to notice a clueless & disoriented Ridge. The look in Ridges eyes scanning, trying to recall the faces in the room. Brooke shares with Ridge the bond they share & their son. His eyes seemed to light up at the mention on his son... oddly he did not inquire further.. just quiet. But still in his lack of clarity & memory loss, he refers to Brooke as LOGAN! Is this sporadic memory loss? Does he remember bits & pieces? OR did Brooke introduce herself as Logan on the beach? We didnt get to witness the full conversation on that beach.. we didnt get to see how she convinced Ridge to follow her back to the room.. so what gives? Is this the second chance (or 100th) for Bridge? Is this Ridge avenue back to his Logan? DEACON rings the bell, palms sweating & nervous with anticipation! Hope screams out, who is it.. no answer! She yells out again, Whos there?! He finally speaks out, someone you never want to see! She stops, hesitates thinking... Wait, I recognize that voice! could it possibly be? She opens the door... What are you doing here?, she asks. Her father standing there, he requests to come in! So an awkwardness ensues. I can see the longing in a daughters eyes for her father. (every girl has it even if she denies it!) What can a girl do? How do you deny or resist such a significant part of who you are? So Hope doesnt fight it.. she began to chat! She talked about her life, the gossip of whats happening now & family matters. Deacon apologizes to his daughter. In humility, he pleads with her for a second chance to be her father! Hope does not get a chance to answer... Brooke calls! She shares the news RIDGE IS ALIVE! Of course Hope is relieved & supremely happy her surrogate father is alive. She jumps for joy & shares it with the father before her, leaping into his arms. I realize at this juncture, Hope will deny her daddy nothing! Hopes enormous forgiving heart cant help but to allow him in. With that in mind, Deacon excuses himself, leaving her in her joy & allow her to get the word out to the rest of the family! KATIE & Thorne, trying to keep hope alive, discuss all the loss as of late & not giving up! At some point Katie starts to head back to the hotel suite having no idea what awaits her behind those doors. She enters... does her eyes deceive her? Ridge turns around, Katie almost passes out at the sight of Ridge. He stands to greet her, she moves toward him & throws her arm around him in tears! We witness this reunion in silence... having no idea if Ridge will remember his Love/Life with Katie. Will Katie lose her 2nd chance at Love? (or 3rd/4th) Can this end well for Kridge? Judging from the look in Ridges eyes... probably not! CONSPIRACY THEORY/WHAT IFS: What if Ridge has a master plan of his own? He discovered something before falling out of that plane. What if he took some time to think strategy! He obviously think Bill tried to kill him. Its been maybe 24-48 hrs in soap land.. not a lot of time has passed. So at some point he knows he has to return to the lions den. However, could Ridge do this to Katie or worry his family to death just to trap Bill-- very unlikely! Well, what about considering this may NOT be the REAL Ridge?! (Hey its happening on GH) Anything is a possibility on these soaps! I say that because his man b4 us seems careful not to say much of anything. Okay it could be memory loss, BUT it could be a double/clone-- it could happen! Years ago we saw Ronn Moss fall into a barrel of fire, but came back alive & his new wife Brooke grieved for him by making love to his brother Nick right on the spot where Ridge died!! Im just saying... anything is possible! Besides, I notice that Ridge is so eager to get out of here! & go home, he says to Eric! Does he even know where home is?! I find that odd if he has no memory... hes not responding like a man with little to no memory! Not even a who are you? or Who am I?! Ya I know Im letting my mind run away with this, but trust me its from shear BOREDOM & PREDICTABILITY!!! Hey, I dont want to rain on this teary parade of joy & reunions.. but we all know all too well how this all works! Ridge & Brooke seem to always come out on top & TOGETHER in the end. Nothing new ever happens under the sun... we can all pray to the B&B gods for a new & creative outcome, but Im not too optimistic... especially for poor Katie! However on a happier note~ WELCOME HOME DEACON SHARPE!! Cant wait to see how you mix it all up! (wink)
