Bonebrake tops Path Valley Late Models Story and Photos By : Rob Keller Dry Run, PA | June 9, 2014 - Wes Bonebrake started first in the twenty-five lap Late model feature and was in control from the first turn to the checkered flag, leading the non-stop event by nearly half of a lap at the finish. Andy Fries finished second, followed by Steve Bailor, Josh Berrier, and Tim Snare. Fries won the heat race. The 4-Cylinder Thunder Cars and Strictly Stocks ran a combined race with separate scoring. Charlie Stallman dominated the Thunder Cars, winning the heat and leading all twenty laps for the feature win. Kyle Martin finished second and Justin Williamson third. Glen Wilson took the lead from Rusty Garlock in the Strictly Stocks on lap eight and then held off several attempts by Garlock to retake the lead to earn his second win this year. Garlock was the heat race winner. Bill Kennedy led the Mini Stock feature until suffering engine trouble just past halfway. Korey Washinger was dealing with his own issues, but had enough speed to catch Kennedy and make the winning pass on lap sixteen. The win is Washingers first this year and came the night before his wedding. Barry Welch finished third. Kennedy scored the heat win. The most exciting race of the evening was the last event, the Super Stocks. Bill Powell and Brad McGinnis ran bumper-to-bumper nearly all twenty laps with Powell leading the way from start-to-finish. Shawn Shoemaker finished just ahead of Austin Johnson for third while Troy Eckenrode finished fifth. Powell also won the heat race.
