Borno State government received the sum of N18,290,231,964.16 ( Eighteen trillion, two hundred and ninety million, two hundred and thirty one thousand, nine hundred and sixty four naira, sixteen kobo) only from the excess crude oil account from the month of January - September 2013 apart from the statutory allocation of over N2.6B which comes to the state government account with the exception of the local governments allocations which the state government still pocket it under the guise of join account. It is our moral responsibility to hold the politicians accountable to all the monies received in the state considering the poor state of development in the state. Borno State is the less developed state in the entire North East part of the country with huge resources squandered without commensurate development.
