Bottom line ---> many artists think they are the hottest thing out here but really arent serious or have a clue what it really takes. I could give 100 rappers a list of radio stations, A&Rs and booking agents and honestly MAYBE 2 would know what to do with it AND have the proper material to submit. Just to get FM radio play You MUST have Exclusive beat, industry standard mixing and mastering, edited track, copyright. Not to mention if you are pushing a radio track you will have to back it up with a high quality video, photo shoot, EPK, ASCAP/BMI, promotion, website, distribution site and MULTIPLE ACTIVE social media sites. Plus if youre really smart you paid to have your name LLC and Trademarked before you did any of the above...ya know for the nice little tax rebate at the end of the year to reinvest in the next. Soooo my question is how many are that serious?
