Brea City Council Meeting This upcoming Tuesday, we will confront the Brea City Council about the fracking taking place in City Limits. The City Council and staff are aware of fracking, but we need to act quickly if we are to protect our community from this dangerous practice. We need to show that the community is very concerned about this issue to pressure them to take action! We will make general public comments and ask them to agendize fracking for their next Council Meeting. The purpose of agendizing the fracking issue is to force them to engage the public on it. A public hearing is the first step to getting a ban on fracking in Brea! General Public Comment is the first item on the City Council agenda so please arrive on time. We need all of you to come to show massive public support for a ban on fracking! When: Tuesday, May 20, 7:00 PM Where: Brea City Hall, Executive Conference Room, 1 Civic Center Drive, Brea Bring: Prepare your statement ahead of time, you will have approximately 3-4 minutes to give you public comment RSVP: Reply to this email if you can come! Brea Petition Drive and Visibility Event Education and outreach are crucial to raising the profile of fracking in Brea. We will meet at Brea and Birch to gather petitions and hold signs for cars passing by. This will give us an opportunity to talk to new people about fracking in Brea and why its such a big problem. We will also gather petitions to ban fracking in Brea and Orange County, growing our power and our voice.
