Breakdown of yesterdays Workout with Cody Lane Motto Shoulders Front/Lateral/Rear Deltoid Raises Superset 4x(8x8x8) reps per set Purpose is to isolate all 3 heads of the Deltoid Dumbell Upright rows 4x 10-12 or till failure Goal is to develop the upper Back & Torso Girdle (Traps and shoulders) Push Presses* Olympic Lift 4-5 sets rep till failure Purpose is to develop more mass on the shoulders and to develop more explosive kinetic energy in the hips. We focus on using the legs to initially launch the weight in air. And follow up with locking out the shoulders and arms whilst the Weight is in Momentum. Then focus on the Negative of the rep. After locking out the weight overhead. Slowly lower the bar back on to the shoulders. Repeat till failure or until the shoulders cant lockout ****WARNING***** This excercise can cause serious injury if done improper. If the weight feels as if its going to drop on you Or if the elbow lockout doesnt happen, Drop the weight in front preferably or behind ( clear the landing zone) Example: Dislocated shoulder popping out of the socket. What are push presses? Looks like a squat, feels like a Behind the neck Military press. But both combined into one. You use to your legs to bounce/drive the weight off your shoulders so you can Press/catch (if too heavy) the weight over your head by full extension and lockout of the elbows Its a military press but you can cheat with your legs.
