Brooklyn 11s win in local derby Brooklyn entertained Old Malton on a very breezy sunny morning. Old Malton started well putting Brooklyn under pressure from the kick off. Brooklyn soon found their shape and a quick through ball from Kyle Johnson to Rowan Ford saw Brooklyn take the lead. Soon after Rowan caught the Old Malton defence sleeping and nipped in to get his second within a few minutes of the first. Brooklyn continued to control the game with Old Malton breaking every now and then but a solid defensive display by Oliver Tetlow, Cameron Mello and Eden Cross kept them at Bay. Billy Chapman also pulled off a couple of good saves to keep Old Malton out. Brooklyn then extended their lead with a good cross in and Danny Charters scoring to make it 3-0. Just before the break Old Malton broke and they fired home to with a great shot. Half time it was 3-1 to Brooklyn. In the second half Brooklyn were put under pressure and had to hold solid which they did with fine performances from the middle of midfield duo Thomas Davies and Lewis Saunders who were both outstanding for the whole game and each unlucky not to get a goal with great movement and attempts from out side the box. Brooklyn then took charge of the game and scored their fourth with a great move down the right with Danny Charters crossing the ball to Rowan Ford to score his 3rd and Brooklyn’s fourth. The game finished 4-1 to Brooklyn and the game was a pleasure to watch for all.
