Budapest Pride 2014 was sooo much fun, its hard to describe. There was a pathetic little group of 30-50 right-wing radicals counter-protesting, but they were kept at a good distance from us, so I never even really heard what they had to say. Must have been fascinatingly stupid though. It was sweet, colorful, entertaining and cheerful, with good music, and a lot of traditional families marching in the name of solidarity. I felt safe enough, and overjoyed by being able to celebrate love and tolerance. While we were having an amazingly good time, those skinheads boiled under the sun in their pitch black outfits and military boots. For me, the whole experience was well worth it. I think I even saw policemen (cute ones too :D ), who seemed to have a hard time trying to resist dancing. I hope to be there next year.
