Buzzfeed and Upworthy are the newest growth in this house of virus, strange companies collecting data to be used by other companies who are collecting data in a vain attempt to sell me stuff in little boxes and pop ups. I think its totally harmless and in the long run will collapse into a digital black hole. The language of what they do is new, the tools are fancy, but try , try as you must, the machines will never catch up to the fickle whims of the human mind. Meanwhile I get to find out that I most resemble Marcus Aurelius in Buzzfeeds Which Roman Emperor are YOU? and get to ignore Upworthy because I dont like them telling me what is upworthy. Must be the Marcus in me.
